Velvet Red takes safety seriously. This page brings together information on working safely, reporting abuse and where to get help.

Abuse and what we do

Exploitation, human trafficking, coercion and involvement of minors are prohibited. We review ads and photos, apply zero tolerance and cooperate with the authorities. In an emergency always call your country’s emergency number.

Signs of coercion

Watch for someone who cannot speak or move freely, a third party controlling contact and money, or signs of fear. Never pay anyone other than the person themselves (except a legally registered business).

Working safely & health

Safe sex, regular STI testing and vaccination reduce risks. Consult your local health service for advice.

Scams

Do not transfer money as a “deposit” or “booking”. Contact and payment happen off Velvet Red; we do not mediate and do not process payments for services.

Reporting

You can report ads and behaviour via the report function or our contact point. Manifestly unlawful content is removed after a report.
